1. Raw Material Preparation: The process begins by preparing the raw materials required for the magnet composition. This involves obtaining neodymium, iron, and boron in the form of powders, along with small amounts of other elements like dysprosium and praseodymium, which may be added to enhance the magnet's properties.

2. Powder Mixing: The powders of neodymium, iron, boron, and other elements are carefully measured and mixed together in precise ratios to achieve the desired composition for the magnet. This step ensures uniform distribution of the elements throughout the magnet.

3. Pressing: The mixed powders are then compacted using a hydraulic press or an isostatic press. This process applies pressure to the powders, forming them into the desired shape and size of the magnet. The powder compacts are typically cylindrical or rectangular in shape at this stage.

4. Sintering: The pressed compacts are subjected to a high-temperature sintering process in a controlled atmosphere or vacuum furnace. Sintering involves heating the compacts to a temperature close to the melting point of the powders but below it. This causes the powders to bond together and form a solid magnet with improved structural integrity.

5. Machining and Shaping: After sintering, the resulting magnet blocks are often machined or shaped to achieve the final desired dimensions and specifications. This may involve grinding, cutting, milling, or drilling the magnet to obtain the desired shape, tolerances, and surface finish.

6. Surface Treatment and Coating: NdFeB magnets are susceptible to corrosion, so they are typically coated or plated with protective layers to enhance their durability and resistance to environmental factors. Common coatings include nickel, zinc, epoxy, or other types of protective coatings depending on the intended application.

7. Magnetizing: The final step is magnetization, where the magnets are exposed to a strong magnetic field to align their magnetic domains. This process ensures that the magnets possess the desired magnetic properties, such as high magnetic strength and proper magnetic polarity.
